Mike Shaughnessy

Executive Creative Director, Head of Design

Mike started his ad career as an Art Director at Khonke Hanneken/Milwaukee where he worked on The Milwaukee Brewers, YMCA of America and Potawatomi Casino. When his work started to garner national recognition, Mike’s portfolio caught the eye of one particularly visionary Creative Director (Tim!) at Mullen in Wenham, MA. He interviewed and got the gig, where he soon rose to Associate Creative Director, working on XM Satellite Radio, Stride Rite, United States Department of Defense, Winston Fishing Rods and the Ad Council.

A stint at Arnold on Activision and Progressive followed. Soon thereafter, he took a Creative Director job at Hill Holliday where, for 12 years, he conceived and oversaw work for Cadillac, Major League Baseball, Liberty Mutual, Bank of America, Dunkin’ Donuts, Great Wolf Lodge Resorts, Cracker Barrel, Fireball Whisky, and Frontier Communications.

He joined HeyLet’sGo in November of 2019 as Executive Creative Director/Head of Design, taking the agency’s capabilities and aesthetic to new levels.

Mike’s work has been recognized by One Show, Communication Arts, MPA Kelly awards, Hatch, Clio, and Lurzer’s Archive among many others. He also is a Co-Founder, Partner and Creative Director at Bentwater Brewing, which he’s helped take from startup to one of the most ubiquitous craft beer brands in New England.

He is a father of three, two of which are twins, so he currently has absolutely no outside interests of any kind, whatsoever.
